Residents Urge Authorities to Address Scrap Metal Storage Issue on Independence Boulevard

Concerned residents of Independence Boulevard are raising their voices against scrap metal dealer Nizam Pasha for his continued storage of scrap metal in the recently constructed walkway, urging authorities to take swift action.

Despite repeated warnings, including a recent admonition from Minister within the Ministry of Public Works Deodat Indar, residents have alleged that they observed Nizam Pasha, operating under the name N&S Enterprise, persistently placing containers, heavy-duty trucks, and now scrap iron on the roadway.

This not only severely impedes the free movement of vehicles but also poses a threat to the integrity of the newly constructed road.

Adding to the residents’ grievances, two large bags filled with scrap metal have been left unattended on the walkway for several weeks, exacerbating the situation.

Expressing their frustration, residents are calling on the relevant authorities to intervene and address the ongoing issue before further damage is incurred and the safety of pedestrians and motorists is compromised.

Efforts to reach Nizam Pasha for comment on the matter were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.

As residents await action from authorities, they emphasize the urgency of resolving the issue to ensure the smooth operation of Independence Boulevard and the safety of all those utilizing the roadway.
