Five firefighters from the Linden Fire Station have completed a Basic Life Support (BLS) training program, led by Mr. Larry Modeste and his team from Eastern Emergency Response Services Ltd.
The BLS training equips individuals with essential skills to respond effectively to emergencies such as cardiac arrest and respiratory distress.
Participants learned techniques including CPR and clearing airway obstructions, with the training aimed at improving survival rates through quick, decisive action. This training is crucial for healthcare providers and first responders.
Participants received international certification from HSI and the American Heart Association upon completion of the course.
