15 Months Jail For Man Who Robbed Media Worker
Patrick Goodluck appeared before Magistrate Faith McGusty at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts yesterday, charged with the theft of a yellow gold chain valued at $200,000 from Savitri Laikram in North Sophia.
Goodluck, who pled guilty to the larceny charge, was initially remanded.
However, upon his request for immediate sentencing, the Magistrate inquired whether he had returned the stolen chain. Receiving no response, Magistrate McGusty sentenced him to 15 months imprisonment.
This is not Goodluck’s first encounter with the law; he has a previous conviction for armed robbery, for which he was sentenced to two years in prison.
