Linden told to make a choice to work with government or resist development

Residents of Region 10 were on Tuesday morning told they need to move to a stage and position where they accept the offerings of government in an effort to ensure that their communities are developed and their standards of living are improved.
The call was made by Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water Susan Rodrigues while delivering remarks at the opening of Government’s third Dream Realise, this time in Linden at Amelia’s Primary School.
“When you receive the opportunities you take of the opportunities that we offer to you, you are not doing us a favour, you are helping yourself to improve your own lives, elevated your standard of living, to provide a better future for your children, to develop your communities, your region and by extension to develop Guyana. Minister Rodrigues told Lindeners.
Between today Tuesday and tomorrow Wednesday, the ministry will de distributing two hundred house lots and one hundred and forty four titles and transports.
The numbers represent just part of the total number of persons from the region within the ministry’s database who either applied for house lots or are to be issued with titles.
“The people of Linden have a choice to make, work with your government or resist development, that is a choice you have to make” Minister Rodrigues reminded.
In providing figures on allocations to the region for the last five years.. minister Rodrigues provided the following numbers and time span.

Rodrigues told the gathering that within the five years, the there were twenty houses which were constructed by the APNu government.
She said that as part of the 1000 homes for Linden that the government announced in January while President Ali visited the region, construction on the first forty houses will begin within a few months time.
