Gears for Police youth group at Micobie

Within a month of the formation of the Micobie Village Police Youth Group in Region 8, the police have returned to the community to distribute sporting gears and other items for the young people there.
On Saturday, Assistant Superintendent Pitt and Sergeant Hakim made the donation to the group on-behalf of the Commander and Commissioner of Police.
The donation of the items was done at the Regional Village Office where Toshao Isaac Williams received the items on behalf of his community’s youths.
Assistant Superintendent Pitt reminded the youths that they are the products of the future and that the future of any nation lies within the hands of the youths.
The Officer also assured the youths that more emphasis will be placed into developing them which will aid in them becoming a meaningful products of the society as he stressed the importance of investment into skill development for young people as it makes them more competent.
Community Relations Officer Sergeant Hakim urged the young people to try as much as possible to take part in sporting activities as it brings about a spirit of competitiveness which leads to the need of always wanting to be successful.
