REMANDED TO JAIL: Sheriff Security Guard Aleeba London
A security Guard attached to Sheriff Security Service was today sent to jail on remand by East Bank Demerara Magistrate Sunil Scarce after appearing charged with the offence of simple larceny.
Charged and remanded to prison is 25 year old Aleeba London of 74 Kaneville, East Bank Demerara.
London when he was first arrested, provided the police with an incorrect name.
BIG Smith News Watch was informed that on the day in question, London robbed a 9 year old student of a gold chain which he the child was wearing around his neck.
London was at the time riding a motorcycle when he committed the crime at Herstelling, East Bank Demerara.
After the police received intelligence that it was London who robbed the school boy, they visited his home to carry out a search at his premises.
It was at his home that the police discovered and removed two motorcycles which are said to be owned by the security guard but for which proper documentation proving ownership could not be provided.
The 25 year old was charged under Section 182 of the Criminal Law Offences Act Chapter 8:01.
In court today, London pleaded not guilty to the offence after the ‘AJA’ was applied. He was then refused bail and sent to jail until the next calling of the matter on October 07, 2021.
Contacted today, a source at Sheriff Security indicated to this publication that London did not work with the company for a full hour.
