Linden man with ganga in Pringles tin gets bail

Millington and his Pringles 

Twenty-four-year-old Jamal Millington of Amelia’s Ward Linden who was busted with a quantity of marijuana at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport on Tuesday was Friday morning charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

He appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Courts and pleaded To charge which stated that he on the date in question had 56.3 grammes of marijuana in his possession.

Millington was granted $300,000 bail with the condition that he lodge his passport with the court pending the hearing and determination of his trial.

He is being represented by Attorney at Law Jevon Cox out of Dexter Todd and Associates Chambers. Millington’s next court appearance is April 4, 2022.

Facts presented by the court prosecutor stated that on the day in question, Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) ranks intercepted Millington who was an outgoing passenger at the airport.

A search was conducted on his luggage, which resulted in the discovery of a quantity of marijuana in two Pringles tins.

IHe was then escorted to CANU Headquarters with the narcotic. Following an investigation, Millington was charged and placed before the court.
