BREAKING: Industrial worker arrested for ‘Sir Mars’ murder
An industrial worker was today arrested in connection with the murder of 51-year-old Educator Kirwyn Mars who was killed on Sunday night in Providence, East Bank Demerara.
The arrest was made in Georgetown by ranks of the Guyana Police Force Major Crimes Investigation Unit just after noon, Tuesday afternoon.
BIG Smith News Watch was able to gather that the arrest of the suspect came following intelligence the police received coupled with footage from Close Circuit Cameras from the area where the crime took place.
While this publication was unable to ascertain the name and age of the suspect, we were told that he is a married man with three children. We are not sure what information he has since given to the police as his defense for killing the educator but admitted that they shared a close ‘friendship’.
On Sunday, Kirwyn Marsh was crushed by his own vehicle as he stood at the back of it after exiting due to a misunderstanding he and the suspect were having at the time. BIG Smith News Watch was told that earlier that night, the two had been out socializing at a popular bar in the city.
The nation was rocked by the sudden death of Mars when this publication first reported about his death last Sunday.
Mars who resided at New Settlers Street, Mocha, East Bank Demerara was widely known for his unique teaching skills, stage diversity and the respect he commanded from persons across the divide.
The police are continuing their investigations into the death of Kirwyn Mars.
